At last! Paul Thomas Anderson's got a new movie!

I've been waiting for news about the next Paul Thomas Anderson film for a long, long time.

At last, the official PTA site has the news.

The director of Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love is taking on Oil, a 1927 novel by Upton Sinclair.

The site says, "It's a tale of of scandal, intrigue and politics. It looks like Daniel Day-Lewis will be the star."

Okay. I'm going to try to remain calm, but ... my favorite American director AND my favorite film star?
