Does "Slumdog Millionaire" reject Hindu principles? Embrace "a Westernized, Judeo-Christian" Idea?

Mike Duran posts an intriguing question about the (allegedly) inspirational conclusion of Slumdog Millionaire.

Here's the big money line:

I'm working on a post that will offer an explanation as to why I don't like Slumdog. (I'm apparently one of the few critics doesn't.) I'll share it with you later this week, assuming I can find the time to sum up my thoughts.
