Tonight: A Celebration of IMAGE - Bearing the Mystery

You're invited to join me tonight at Elliott Bay Book Company for a very special reading and booksigning.

Robert Clark, Madeline DeFrees, Luci Shaw, Gregory Wolfe, and Mary Kenagy Mitchell will be reading from and signing copies of Bearing the Mystery: 20 Years of Image.

Here are the details:

Seattle-area writers of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction will read selections from the book at Elliott Bay Book Co. in Seattle on December 8 at 7 pm. With Robert Clark, Madeline DeFrees, Luci Shaw, Gregory Wolfe, and Mary Kenagy Mitchell.

Just released from Eerdmans, Bearing the Mystery compiles 16 full-color plates of visual art and nearly 500 pages of fiction, poetry, and essays by 70 of the most accomplished writers and artists who have appeared in IMAGE over the last two decades.

The anthology features some of the most dynamic and innovative artists at work today, including writers like Annie Dillard, Ann Patchett, Richard Rodriguez, Denise Levertov, Kathleen Norris, Franz Wright, and Ron Hansen; legendary film director Wim Wenders; and such visual artists as Makoto Fujimura, Ed Knippers, Zhi Lin, Barry Moser, Tim Rollins and K.O.S., and many others.
