Don't miss a chance to open Soderbergh's Black Bag of tricks
In his best work since the peak of the Oceans trilogy — maybe since 1998's Out of Sight — Steven Soderbergh surprises us with one of the year's best films.

Steven Soderbergh’s last directorial endeavor scripted by David Koepp was, for me, a disappointment. I found the narrative of the ghost story Presence sorely undercooked, the violent finale lurid and cheap, and the dynamics of the haunted-house family annoying and unpersuasive. That was just a couple of months ago. And so I approached this second Koepp/Soderbergh 2025 collaboration with reluctance.
I’m delighted to announce that Black Bag is — I can't believe I'm saying this — my favorite Soderbergh since 1998’s Out of Sight. Why?
