Rent the first one, and you’ll see. It’s my favorite cop/crook showdown since Michael Mann’s Heat. It’s directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak, and it stars Lau (House of Flying Daggers) and Tony Leung (In the Mood For Love, Hero). Thrilling stuff.
And Scorsese’s working on an American re-make with Damon, DiCaprio, Wahlberg, and Nicholson.
