First impressions of Blue Heron
Busy week! So Overstreet's first impressions of Blue Heron are served up as a video instead of text.
Cinephiles everywhere are raving about Sophy Romvari's first feature film Blue Heron as one of the best of 2026 so far.
I attended the first scheduled showtime for Blue Heron in Seattle!
And I have some first impressions to report. Since it’s a very busy week at school — one made even busier by book promotion endeavors for the release of my new film book Lost and Found in the Cathedral of Cinema — I haven’t had time to compose my thoughts into a polished essay yet. So instead, since the film isn’t likely to be in theaters very long, I recorded a short video summing up my experience.
